The space
Garden Trails holds the distinction of being the very first home built in Mountain Shadows, a spacious four-bedroom retreat where eclectic character meets true Colorado mountain comfort, just a mile from Garden of the Gods.
🛋️ LIVING ROOM & DINING
Soaring vaulted ceilings and a stone-surround fireplace, decorative only, set a striking tone in this living room, where an eclectic gallery wall of framed art plays off cherry hardwood floors and a plush olive leather sectional with ottoman. A wrought-iron glass coffee table, patterned area rug, and large windows framing tree-lined views round out this bright, inviting space. Just off the living area, a wood dining table and upholstered chairs sit beneath a brass chandelier, framed by its own gallery wall of curated art, with a wood buffet for extra storage and sliding glass doors opening to the deck.

The fully stocked kitchen pairs warm oak cabinetry with white countertops, stainless steel appliances, and built-in wine storage, complete with a complimentary coffee station with pods and a complimentary spice rack. A peninsula with seating and a window over the sink keep the space connected and bright, with a small desk nook tucked in for planning the day.

Bedroom 1 (Upper Level): King bed with a private ensuite full bathroom and a wood dresser, dressed in crisp linens for a quiet, comfortable retreat.
Bedroom 2 (Upper Level): King bed with a dedicated workstation, a cushioned bench, and an eclectic tapestry accent above the headboard.
Bedroom 3 (Lower Level): King bed with a dedicated workstation, a built-in closet, and a sound system.
Bedroom 4 (Lower Level): Queen bed tucked beside a built-in library nook with bookshelves and a cozy bench for curling up with a good read.
Upstairs bedrooms are equipped with dedicated mini-split units for climate control. Please note the main living areas do not have central air conditioning.

Ensuite Full Bathroom 1 (Upper Level): A walk-in tiled shower, a wood vanity with undermount sink, and a soft coffered ceiling detail.

Step outside to a shaded, pergola-covered deck made for slow mornings and Colorado sunsets, complete with wicker seating and a gas grill for outdoor dinners. A screened-in porch off the lower level extends the living space outdoors with a wood-planked ceiling and tree-lined views, bug-free. The spacious fenced backyard, complete with a greenhouse and garden, gives everyone room to roam, perfect for families and pets alike.
🖥️ DEDICATED WORKSTATIONS
Two dedicated workstations are tucked into their own bedrooms for guests who need to stay productive between adventures. One sits upstairs in a bright corner with a desk and task chair, set against tapestry-accented walls. The second is downstairs in a quieter, more private spot, ideal for a few focused work hours without leaving the comfort of the room.

Dog friends are welcome! For guests bringing dogs, there is a mandatory pet fee of $100 per dog, collected after booking. A maximum of 2 dogs is allowed per reservation unless otherwise approved. No other animals are permitted.

🏡 Property Access: You'll have full private access to the entire home, including all bedrooms, living areas, the fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, shaded patio, and fenced backyard. 💵 Additional Fees
Damage Protection: A damage protection option is required for all reservations and is processed through our third-party system prior to arrival. Before check-in, you'll choose one of two options:
Damage Waiver: A non-refundable fee from $25–$40/night (max $200), covering accidental damage beyond normal wear and tear, up to $500. Most guests pick this, and nothing is held on your card.
Security Deposit: A fully refundable hold from $350–$1,000. This is a pre-authorized hold (not a charge) that is released following a damage-free inspection after checkout, typically within 7 business days.
Amounts depend on the home and length of stay. This is handled separately from your reservation payment.
