This backyard is shared only with the upstairs unit and not with the cottage at the front of the property. 🅿️ Parking You’ll have access to two clearly labeled parking spaces: one inside the detached garage (marked with Unit B on the garage door) and one directly behind it. Vermijo Nook has direct access from inside the garage into the unit, making entry simple and secure. Guest access 🔑 Guests have full access to the ground-level apartment Unit \#B, including the living and sleeping area, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. You'll also have access to your own private patio with a fire pit and seating—perfect for relaxing outdoors. The backyard is shared only with the upstairs unit in the duplex. Two clearly marked parking spots are included: one inside the garage and one directly behind it. If you have any questions or need anything during your stay, just let us know—we’re happy to help! Other things to note 📜 Rental Agreement For a seamless booking experience, a Rental Agreement is required for all reservations. Once your reservation is confirmed, we’ll provide details for completing the agreement. 🔑 Check-In Process For a seamless check-in experience, your unique code along with your check-in instructions will be updated into your personalized guidebook on the morning of your arrival. You’ll use this code for entry. ☕ Starter Supply We’ve prepared a starter supply that includes paper towels, coffee K-cups, toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, and plush white towels. We hope these amenities add an extra touch of comfort to your stay. ⏰ Unauthorized Late Checkout Fee $20 per half hour late. 💵 Additional Fees Damage Protection: A damage protection option is required for all reservations and is processed through our third-party system prior to arrival. Before check-in, you'll choose one of two options: Damage Waiver: A non-refundable fee from $25–$40/night (max $200), covering accidental damage beyond normal wear and tear, up to $500. Most guests pick this, and nothing is held on your card. Security Deposit: A fully refundable hold from $350–$1,000. This is a pre-authorized hold (not a charge) that is released following a damage-free inspection after checkout, typically within 7 business days. Amounts depend on the home and length of stay. This is handled separately from your reservation payment. Pet Fee: For guests bringing dogs, there is a mandatory pet fee of $100 per dog. A maximum of 2 dogs is allowed per reservation unless otherwise approved. No other animals are permitted. Optional services like early check-in, late check-out, and extra guests can be arranged on request, subject to availability. These cover the cost of reworking the cleaning schedule or bringing in a second cleaner. Great location in Old Colorado City with Red Rock Open Space, Garden of the Gods and lots of breweries and restaurants just a stone's throw away. Bed was very comfortable and we slept great. This is a downstairs unit so expect to hear some movement from the upstairs neighborhoors, but it was nice and quiet at night. Bonus for the private garage! It's not huge but there was enough space for a couple bicycles, cooler, and our not tiny truck. Kaitlyn was super responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend The Nook and would stay again!
